The Ministry of Mining and Geology of Uzbekistan reported that Feruza Khamidova, Deputy First Minister of the industry, along with ministry representatives and management of JSC 'UzTMC', held a meeting with Gideon Lustig, the Israeli Ambassador to Uzbekistan, and Asaf Shirman, Regional Financial Attaché for Asian Countries from the Israeli Ministry of Finance.
Guests were presented with information about the reforms implemented in Uzbekistan's mining and geological sectors over the past years. The new version of the Subsoil Law, investment environment conditions, creation of opportunities for entrepreneurs through the E-Auction platform based on transparent mechanisms, the activities of JSC 'UzTMC', as well as projects in hydrogeology, industrial digitalization, and metallurgy were also highlighted.
The Israeli side expressed interest in cooperation in the fields of critical metals and groundwater. It was noted that Israel possesses experience in hydrogeology, and the parties proposed considering the possibility of Israel presenting relevant technological solutions and proposals for the study and use of groundwater.
Furthermore, the Israeli delegation noted its participation in the GEOMIN 2026 conference and highly appreciated the scale and practical significance of the event.
