In Technical College No. 1 in Nukus, training based on the international British Pearson BTEC program has started for the first time in Uzbekistan. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the institution as part of his trip to Karakalpakstan to familiarize himself with its activities.

This program is available in 70 countries worldwide and combines theoretical preparation with practical training. Modern digital laboratories and workshops were equipped for the students. The total cost of implementing this project reached 11.9 billion soums, with partners contributing 2 billion soums.

The workshops are intended for 240 students, while over 1200 people are studying at the college in total. Additionally, 136 students are undergoing training under the spin-off program, where core subjects are taught in English.

The President instructed that the educational process be organized in a way that meets the needs of employers. This year alone, 25 graduates who mastered welding have found jobs in Estonia with an income of up to 3 thousand euros per month. The college also plans to train personnel for the industrial zone, which is valued at 40 million dollars.
