Uzbekistan and ECOSA discussed cooperation in the seed sector and preparations for the summit

The Ministry of Mining and Geology of Uzbekistan reported that Feruza Khamidova, Deputy First Minister of the industry, along with ministry representatives and management of JSC 'UzTMC', held a meeting with Gideon Lustig, the Israeli Ambassador to Uzbekistan, and Asaf Shirman, Regional Financial Attaché for Asian Countries from the Israeli Ministry of Finance.

Guests were presented with information about the reforms implemented in Uzbekistan's mining and geological sectors over the past years. The new version of the Subsoil Law, investment environment conditions, creation of opportunities for entrepreneurs through the E-Auction platform based on transparent mechanisms, the activities of JSC 'UzTMC', as well as projects in hydrogeology, industrial digitalization, and metallurgy were also highlighted.

The Israeli side expressed interest in cooperation in the fields of critical metals and groundwater. It was noted that Israel possesses experience in hydrogeology, and the parties proposed considering the possibility of Israel presenting relevant technological solutions and proposals for the study and use of groundwater.

Furthermore, the Israeli delegation noted its participation in the GEOMIN 2026 conference and highly appreciated the scale and practical significance of the event.

The Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan held a meeting on September 17, 2026, with a delegation consisting of representatives from companies in Germany and Austria, according to the ministry's statement.

The main topic of discussion was the prospects for expanding investment cooperation and implementing joint projects in various fields. These fields include information and communication technologies, construction material production, agriculture, tourism, education, urban development, and mechanical engineering.

Representatives of foreign firms presented their proposals for developing interaction in Uzbekistan and exchanged views on opportunities for joint investment initiatives.

The delegation members were provided with information about the socio-economic reforms being carried out in Uzbekistan, measures aimed at improving the investment climate, as well as the advantages and benefits available to foreign investors, including business conditions and opportunities to enter regional markets.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties reached an agreement to develop promising project proposals, study the possibilities of their implementation in Uzbekistan, and continue regular dialogue in this area.

India's Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Uzbekistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance Jamshid Kuchkarov held a meeting in New Delhi to discuss opportunities for deepening economic and financial interaction between the two countries. The Ministry of Finance of India published this information on the social network X.

The meeting took place in New Delhi on Sunday. The sides exchanged views on mutual interests and discussed further strengthening bilateral economic and financial ties.

These negotiations came against the backdrop of expanding economic cooperation between India and Central Asian countries. Special attention is paid to developing regional ties through closer interaction in the fields of trade, investment, and finance.

The ministers focused their discussion on areas where India and Uzbekistan can expand institutional and economic partnership. Furthermore, the meeting coincided with India's efforts to strengthen ties with Central Asia by enhancing economic cooperation and improving transport accessibility.

Uzbekistan, as the most populous country in Central Asia and one of the region's key economies, plays a significant role in India's economic engagement with Central Asia.
