Singer and screenwriter Manoj Muntashir is known for his candid statements on various issues. Recently, he commented on the dispute related to the song 'Vande Mataram.'
While visiting Ujjain with his wife for religious rituals at the Mahakaleshwar temple, Muntashir spoke with journalists. He expressed disagreement with how 'Vande Mataram' is performed and criticized the restriction of the song's performance to only a few parts. He insisted that 'Vande Mataram' should be performed in its entirety.
Muntashir also criticized Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, noting that the politician should avoid such actions. Although he did not name him directly, he emphasized that 'Vande Mataram' must be heard in its full form, and the opposition leader should refrain from such deeds.
Commenting on political statements, Muntashir stated that India belongs to no one. He added that the country's identity should be linked to its historical and cultural heritage. He noted that people often say India belongs to no one, and questioned who they consider their father. He stated that the pride of the Suryavanshi representatives has always been in their veins, and that since the time of Sanatana, the celestial color saffron has been present. He named Shivaji and Guru Nanak as his fathers, asserting that India belonged to their ancestors and remains their property.
Manoj Muntashir also shared his opinion on Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He talked about the qualities of the Prime Minister that he likes the most. He highly appreciated the inspiring life events of the Prime Minister. However, if he had to choose one quality, he would name it service, as Modi serves selflessly. In his opinion, if the entire life of the Prime Minister were to be summarized in one word, it would be 'service.'
