The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has launched its official WhatsApp channel. Through this channel, updates and important information regarding the Provident Fund (PF) will now be provided. This service will be extremely useful for EPFO members and pensioners.
The main goal of EPFO is to simplify members' access to the latest information about the Employees' Provident Fund (EPF), Pension Services, as well as information on plans and significant announcements.
The EPFO WhatsApp channel was launched last year, on August 19, 2025, and is now officially presented. By September 2026, it surpassed the mark of 100,000 subscribers. The organization published a message stating: 'These 100,000 subscribers and your unwavering trust! This milestone in the EPFO WhatsApp channel is a testament to your trust and engagement.'
In a post published by EPFO on the social network Twitter (now X), it was stated: 'EPFO is now on WhatsApp! Join this official WhatsApp channel to receive important updates and useful information.'
Members can join this channel launched by EPFO in two ways. The first way is to follow the direct link (https://www.whatsapp.com/channel/0029Vb6kmH48Pgs8ftd6Kw3Y), click 'Subscribe,' and join the EPFO WhatsApp channel. The second way is to use the QR code that EPFO published in the social media post. Users can scan this QR code (EPFO QR Code) using their phone camera or WhatsApp scanner, and then subscribe to the channel.
The main task of the EPFO WhatsApp channel is to disseminate updates related to the PF and key information released by the organization. However, EPFO clarified that although important messages are transmitted through this channel, regular account access, PF Balance Check, and PF Money Withdrawal must be carried out exclusively through the EPFO portal or the Umang application. Complaints should be submitted using the regional hotline.
