Swiss engineers have developed an anthropomorphic robotic hand that has been converted into a fully autonomous robot. This structure is capable of moving at speeds of up to 9.3 centimeters per second, using all five of its fingers as supports for walking. Furthermore, the robot possesses a self-healing function, autonomously getting up after falling.
During tests, this robot demonstrated the ability to move across various surfaces, manipulate objects, and interact with a keyboard by pressing its keys. The material on this development is presented as a preprint on the arXiv.org platform.
