From January to July 2026, Uzbekistan imported 65,876 passenger cars from 29 countries for a total amount of 920.4 million US dollars, according to data from the National Statistical Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Electric vehicles accounted for the largest share of imported vehicles, totaling 46,749 units. Gasoline-powered cars ranked second in import volume, reaching 10,987 units during this seven-month period.
Additionally, 8,077 hybrid cars, combining a gasoline engine with an electric powertrain, were imported, and other types of vehicles accounted for 63 units.
Main car suppliers
China remains the main supplier of passenger cars to Uzbekistan. During the period under review, 63,039 cars were imported from China. Significantly smaller volumes were supplied by the United States, which delivered 765 passenger cars to Uzbekistan.
Cars were also imported from the Republic of Korea, which supplied 737 vehicles, and Japan provided 345 units. The remaining countries contributed 990 passenger cars to the total import.
Thus, Chinese supplies constituted the vast majority of passenger car imports into Uzbekistan in January-July 2026, while electric vehicles held the largest share by vehicle type.
