In the second round of the group stage of the Asian Games football tournament in Nagoya, Japan, the women's national teams of China and Uzbekistan finished the match with a score of 1-1. This result prevented China from securing an early position in the playoffs.
After defeating Hong Kong 5-1 in the first round, China's head coach Antonio Milicic made eight changes to the starting lineup. Wang Shuang, who scored two goals and provided two assists in the previous match, was substituted this time.
China dominated ball possession from the very first minutes and regularly created dangerous opportunities near the Uzbek goal. However, the Uzbeks scored first. In the 42nd minute, Holida Dadaboyeva reacted to a rebound and headed the ball into the net.
After the break, Wang Shuang entered the field, adding attacking threat to China's game. In the 71st minute, following a corner kick, Wang Yanwen directed the ball back into the penalty area, and Zhang Linyan equalized with a header.

During the game, China made 24 shots, 10 of which were on target, while Uzbekistan attempted five shots, three of which were accurate.
