Wildberries has increased the opportunities for promoting goods for sellers from Uzbekistan. According to the company's press service, the RWB Media team presented new updates and click-per-payment (CPC) campaign tools to local entrepreneurs during a business meeting.
One of the key changes is the expansion of promotion options through CPC. Dmitry Krasnov, head of the mechanics and promotion algorithms department at RWB Media, announced the appearance of a new 'Recommendations' placement zone for certain subcategories.
Sellers can now promote their products not only in search results and the catalog but also in collections that the marketplace shows users interested in the relevant products. Additionally, daily spending limits have been introduced in CPC campaigns, allowing sellers to pre-set the amount they are willing to spend on product promotion during the day; the system will not exceed the set threshold.
According to the company, this approach ensures more precise control over expenses and contributes to a more even budget distribution. Wildberries also noted the positive impact of this mechanism on conversions and the positions of product listings.
Furthermore, the first sellers from Uzbekistan participated in testing a second-level auction model in CPC campaigns. Under this model, the cost per click is determined not by the highest bid, but by the bid of the nearest competitor with a small additional premium. This mechanism allows sellers to reduce the cost per click by the difference between their own bid and the bid of the nearest competitor. At the testing stage, the tool is available in search and recommendations for selected subcategories, and it is planned to expand the list in the future.
Sarvar Tukhtayev, head of the platform promotion development department for Wildberries in Uzbekistan, shared the results of using advertising tools by local sellers. According to the local Wildberries team, the turnover of Uzbek sellers who used the promotion tools in the first year after their launch was five times higher than that of sellers who did not use them.
Tukhtayev emphasized: 'Promotion on Wildberries provides real opportunities for business growth. The updates presented by the product team make promotion on Wildberries even more convenient and accessible.'
