There are many talented actors in the entertainment industry, but every artist needs to find that one role that will earn them public recognition. For Asif Khan, this role was Damad Ji from the series 'Panchayat,' which brought him popularity. One of his dialogues, 'Gajab beizzti hai,' became a viral meme.
Asif Khan's journey began as a junior artist and waiter, and later he achieved the status of a participant in 'Big Boss 20' after playing Damad Ji in 'Panchayat.' During the reality show's premiere night, Asif stated that he came here to earn respect, but in the first two weeks, he did not receive such recognition.
From the very first day, Asif found himself on the list of those disapproved of by many participants. Questions arise regarding his image. Uditi accused the married actor of touching her. She disliked how Asif often shook hands and performed high five-handshakes with other participants. She stated that she does not accept such physical contact. Although Asif discussed this with her, he insisted that his intentions were pure. These words bothered Uditi, and she may not have expected her image to be criticized in a reality show.
The situation escalated when Uditi and Aman Gandhi began to question Asif's acting abilities. Notably, Asif himself assessed his 17 years of acting experience within the show. He demonstrates a contradictory state, balancing between whether he is playing a role or is genuinely ill. He confidently claimed his 17 years of experience, but his performance raised doubts. Addressing the camera, he said that if he is portraying a mental disorder, then he should be ashamed himself.
Asif is also criticized for aggressive behavior. He constantly gets into fights with other housemates. Besides Uditi and Aman Gandhi, he also clashed with Kaji Taukir. Housemates note that he interferes in others' conflicts without apparent reason. During arguments, Asif was heard using coarse profanity.
Despite the appearances of Damad Ji from 'Panchayat' appearing in 'Big Boss,' he is not winning the hearts of either the housemates or the viewers. His aggressive behavior and demeanor sometimes irritate people. However, according to observers, it is not too late, as the show is still long. There is hope that through this reality show, Asif can earn fame and public love so that after leaving it, people do not say: 'Gajab beizzti hai, yaro...'
