The Uzbekistan Boxing Federation has announced the final roster of its team to participate in the Asian Games. The events will begin on September 19th in the Japanese city of Aichi-Nagoya and run until October 4th.
Six boxers are registered for the men's squad. Among them, Samandar Olimov will compete in the under 55 kg category, Abdumalik Khalokov in the under 60 kg category, Shavkatjon Boltayev in the under 70 kg category, Faziddin Erkinboev in the under 80 kg category, Turabek Khabibullaev in the under 90 kg category, and Jakhongir Zokirov in the over 90 kg category.
Tulkin Kilichev has been appointed as the head coach of the men's team. The coaching staff also includes Juan Enrique Steiner, Rahmatjon Ruziokhunov, Akmal Hasanov, Davron Gafurov, Nodir Gulomov, Alimardon Dostanov, and Sherzodbek Ahmadjonov.
The women's team will be represented by five athletes. Feruza Kazakova will participate in the under 51 kg category, Nigina Oktamova in the under 54 kg category, Sitora Turdibekova in the under 60 kg category, Navbahor Khamidova in the under 65 kg category, and Aziza Zakirova in the under 75 kg category.
Elshod Rasulov is the head coach of the women's team. He will be assisted by coaches Barbara Fernandez Jimenez, Islom Tajiboyev, and Azim Khudaykulov. Mirshohid Tillaboyev has been appointed as the team leader.
The medical staff includes Dr. Komildjon Rasulov and physiotherapist Jesus Alberto.
