The Panchayat Aajtak event in Bihar kicked off brightly on Friday, featuring prominent figures from the worlds of politics and cinema. Among them was actor Sanjay Mishra, who spoke on several issues concerning the state of Bihar, focusing particularly on the problems of development and education.
During a conversation with moderator Shweta Singh, Sanjay Mishra emphasized the critical importance of girls' education in both Bihar and across the country. He stated that despite calls to 'Save the Girl,' the situation is complex because girls are often burdened, and he questioned why they should be educated if they will move to another home. He proposed a radical idea: 'Give women the country for six years, and we will see what happens,' believing they could fix fundamental issues.
The actor also shared that he is writing a book that mentions his grandparents. He recounted how his great-grandfather and great-grandmother settled an entire village to save one daughter who was the only girl among eight brothers. Mishra insisted on the necessity of education in all fields.
He expressed doubt about the competence of current leaders, noting that people tend to support those who demonstrate knowledge. Sanjay Mishra observed that no one knows who the country has been handed to, stressing that governing requires foresight, not an orientation toward the 2027 or 2029 elections. He linked development to basic education, criticizing the approach where someone who spent a lot of time studying suddenly ends up in the film industry.
Regarding Sanjay Mishra's professional career, he is currently gaining attention for the film 'Tera Sai,' directed by Palash Muchhal, which is scheduled to premiere next year.
