FSSAI initiates case against Nestle India over false advertising claims and biotin levels in baby products

India's food safety regulatory body, FSSAI, has initiated legal proceedings against Nestle India. This is due to alleged non-compliance regarding the infant food products NAN Excella Pro Stage 1 and Lactogen Pro 1.

FSSAI inspected the product data and accompanying materials available on e-commerce platforms. Product samples were sent for re-analysis, but the reference laboratory also determined that they do not meet the established biotin requirements according to the 2020 regulations.
