Supervision over water usage has been strengthened in Uzbekistan. The 'Vodkhoznadzor' inspection body now has the authority to use unmanned aerial vehicles for monitoring.
According to the innovation, which is enshrined in a resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers, such activities will not be classified as commercial activity inspections. Drones will allow inspectors to monitor the water usage process and assess the correctness of applying modern irrigation and water-saving methods.
It is important to note that the results of this monitoring will not be entered into the 'Unified State Control' database, as it is not a business inspection. Previously, inspectors had already started using body cameras during checks of entrepreneurs, and drones are now being added to this tool.
The import of twenty drones is permitted for the inspection's needs, and the agency undertakes to comply with established rules for the storage and operation of these devices.
Furthermore, an innovative interceptor drone named 'Shunkor-88' was previously created in Uzbekistan. This project, developed by a team led by Ismoilov Bilolkhon as part of the 'Engineers of the Future' competition, is designed to counteract other unmanned devices.
