The Crismina Fort is part of a set of three 18th-century fortifications that comprised the old defense line of the Cascais coast. These structures were built after the conflict between Portugal and Spain.
Currently, this fortified structure consists primarily of an open space, surrounded by stone walls that show signs of wear due to erosion caused by wind and other climatic factors. The walls have variations in height and thickness, outlining an irregular polygonal shape.
