China's Ministry of Commerce announced on Thursday that the economic and trade groups of China and the United States maintain close contact on several issues, including tariff reductions.
A ministry representative, He Yadong, made these statements during a regular press conference while answering questions about recent progress in consultations on a mutual tariff reduction agreement. This agreement could potentially cover goods worth $30 billion from each side.
Speaking about further steps, the ministry representative specified that new developments will be disclosed in due course.
