Different states possess their own systems of traditional medicine and regulatory norms. In the context of promoting international cooperation in the field of traditional medicine, the question arises as to how to facilitate mutual recognition of standards between different countries.
Miao Jiajun, director of the Working Group on Standards and Healthcare Industry of the Belt and Road Initiative of the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies, stated that the basis for mutual recognition of standards is data compatibility.
He emphasized that China should cooperate with other countries to jointly develop standards instead of simply exporting its own rules. Furthermore, Miao highlighted the importance of using scientific research and other forms of innovation to build partnerships with local institutions and enterprises.
