Vocalist Sonu Nigam issued a clarification regarding a fabricated video in which he supposedly reacts to the vocal performances of Bollywood star Salman Khan.
This week, the singer posted on his Instagram account, presenting the fake video along with his commentary. In it, he specified that the clip was compiled from his original video, where he reacted to the singing of a young Pakistani girl, and was mistakenly edited with an excerpt from Salman's song 'Main Hoon Hero Tera.'
Nigam added in his message: 'You can expect anything on the internet. I came across this edited video. It was my reaction to the girl singer from Pakistan.'
Sonu Nigam and Salman Khan have a long professional history dating back to the 90s. One of their most significant collaborations is the song 'Jaane Kya Hua Hai,' sung by Sonu Nigam and filmed featuring Salman. Nevertheless, in the mid-2010s, there were reports of discord between them around the release of 'Main Hoon Hero Tera' as part of a micro-trend where actors performed their own songs.

While he respects actors who explore music, he also emphasizes that singing is a highly specialized art form requiring years of study, practice, and dedication. He sometimes questions the trend of actors using their voices in songs when professional singers are available.
