In an official statement, the MEA emphasized: 'As stated repeatedly before, India remains firmly committed to ensuring energy security for its population of 1.4 billion people.' It was also noted that the country will continue to achieve this goal by diversifying sources and accounting for changing market dynamics.
The MEA specified that this issue has been discussed at a high level with various US representatives over the past few months. The Indian side clearly conveyed its intentions to the American side to take all necessary measures to protect the country's economic and trade interests.
