A modern work laptop must perform multiple functions: be powerful enough for daily tasks, easily portable, support video conferencing, and not depend on constant access to an electrical outlet. The new ASUS Zenbook 14 embodies this concept, offered in two configurations: UX3480AA with Intel processors and UX3480KA based on AMD.
This device belongs to the ASUS Zenbook series, known for its thin and light premium models designed for mobile work and everyday business tasks.
Battery Life and Charging
One of the main advantages of the Zenbook 14 is its 70 Wh battery. According to ASUS, the laptop can operate for up to 18 hours when using a browser and up to 29 hours in video playback mode without being connected to the network. The included adapter has a power of 68W and connects via a USB-C port, supporting fast charging: the manufacturer claims that charging to 60% takes about 49 minutes. Additionally, the device can be powered by a compatible mobile battery or another power source with suitable parameters.
These characteristics significantly reduce the user's dependence on a specific workspace, which is convenient when moving between offices, meetings, educational institutions, and cafes.
Design and Chassis Materials
The appearance of the Zenbook 14 stands out among standard metal ultrabooks due to the use of unique Ceraluminum technology. The top cover of the aluminum chassis is coated with a special layer using plasma ceramization, giving the surface characteristics of aluminum oxide ceramic. This coating is more resistant to abrasion and wear compared to ordinary anodizing, and it is also less prone to accumulating fingerprints and dirt. Three color options are available in the new version: grayish-blue, beige, and pink.
Performance with AI Integration
In the version with Intel processors, the Zenbook 14 uses Intel Core Ultra Series 3 chips, which can be either Core Ultra 7 355H or Core Ultra 9 386H, depending on the selected configuration. A dedicated Intel NPU block is created to accelerate artificial intelligence algorithms, providing performance of up to 50 TOPS. Thanks to this, the Zenbook 14 qualifies as a Copilot+ PC and can use Windows 11 features focused on local processing of AI tasks.
Microsoft develops a range of capabilities for Copilot+ PCs, including Live Captions with subtitle translation, Windows Studio Effects for improving video calls, and tools for image creation and editing. Some of these features are implemented and improved through operating system updates. A dedicated key is provided on the keyboard for quick invocation of Copilot.
Image Quality on the OLED Display
The Zenbook 14 is equipped with a 14-inch OLED display with a 16:10 aspect ratio and a resolution of 1920x1200 pixels. The panel guarantees 100% coverage of the DCI-P3 color space, achieves a contrast ratio of up to 1,000,000:1, and has a response time of 0.2 ms. Since each pixel in the OLED panel generates its own light, pixels can completely turn off in dark scenes, ensuring deep black and high contrast. Such a display is suitable not only for viewing multimedia content but also for working with graphics, presentations, and photos due to its wide color gamut.
Interfaces and Connectivity
Despite the minimal thickness of the chassis, the Zenbook 14 retains the necessary set of ports. Via the USB-C port, you can simultaneously charge the laptop, connect external monitors, and high-speed drives. For wireless communication, Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 standards are used. This set of interfaces is very convenient in a work environment as it allows direct connection of the laptop to an external monitor, peripherals, or storage without the need to purchase an additional USB hub.
Management via MyASUS
Many laptop functions are integrated into the proprietary MyASUS application. Users can use this application to diagnose the system, install necessary updates, and contact technical support. Depending on the configuration, the application provides settings to manage battery modes, performance, and fans, as well as to adjust the OLED display, color space, microphones, Wi-Fi, and touchpad.
ASUS advises users to create an account and register the purchased laptop. Registration allows centralized management of all ASUS devices, receiving information about drivers and software updates, using technical support, and activating available services. Registered owners also gain access to ScreenXpert, GlideX, and ASUS Switch utilities, as well as offers from third-party developers.
Extended ASUS Perfect Warranty
The Zenbook 14 benefits from the ASUS Perfect Warranty extended warranty program, which supplements the standard manufacturer's warranty. This program provides protection against various unforeseen damages that are usually not covered by standard terms, including drops, liquid spills, voltage surges, and mechanical damage.
In Uzbekistan, this program applies to ASUS, ROG, and TUF laptops purchased from January 1, 2025. To take advantage of ASUS Perfect Warranty, the laptop must be registered within 90 days of purchase using an ASUS account. The Zenbook 14 (2026) can be purchased in electronics stores in Uzbekistan and from the official ASUS partner at nout.uz.
