The ecological festival 'Yashil Uyim' will be held in Andijan, Uzbekistan, for the first time. The event will take place on September 26 from 12:00 to 19:00 at the Berlin Zentrum complex located at Chulpon Street, 193. The European Union is providing financial support to the festival.
The main goal of the festival is to popularize an environmentally friendly lifestyle and promote practices such as waste sorting and recycling, responsible resource use, and the implementation of modern scientific and ecological solutions.
A rich program has been planned for adults and youth, which includes open lectures by specialists, practical workshops, discussions, a fair of eco-friendly products and scientific developments, contests with prizes, DJ performances, and live music.
Lecture topics will cover sustainable living and the circular economy, cancer genomics, as well as waste sorting and sign language. Additionally, there will be a youth discussion titled 'Ecology or Economy?' and a screening of the animated film 'WALL•E' in Uzbek.
A separate program will be organized for children. It will include practical math lessons, scientific experiments, presentations of the books 'Fikrlab' and 'My Eco-Bag', as well as robotics lessons.
Throughout the festival, a fair of ecological products and initiatives will operate, where visitors can learn about local environmental projects and scientific achievements. Specially equipped collection points will accept batteries, used vegetable oil, paper, cellophane, and aluminum.
In the SWAP zone, guests can exchange books, plants, and other items, and also participate in a game of chess.
Organizers emphasized that the festival aims to become an open platform for promoting practical environmental solutions, fostering a responsible attitude towards nature, and developing beneficial daily habits. Entry to the festival is free.
