Presentation of the KUSKA Residence and MACAA Workshop, an architecture, construction, and art mission in the Andes

The KUSKA Residence / MACAA Workshop, which represents an Architecture, Construction, and Art Mission in the Andes, was conceived with the purpose of moving away from the urban environment. The name Kuska, derived from Quechua, means 'together.'

This space was planned to serve as the main residence for both a writer and an artisan, in addition to having the capacity to host friends, family, and other artists during residency periods.

La Colmena Project transforms multi-family housing into community infrastructure in the Durán neighborhood

The La Colmena project proposes transforming multi-family housing into shared neighborhood infrastructure, developed through a partnership between Ancestra and Natura Futura. This venture is located in Durán, a satellite city of Guayaquil, in an environment characterized by social and urban tensions.

The surrounding situation had led to the creation of increasingly closed and isolated residential spaces, resulting in a decrease in social interactions within the community. In response to this, a retired couple decided to purchase a dwelling in precarious conditions with the goal of creating three habitable areas that could safely and productively revitalize the neighborhood.
