XP announced this Tuesday, September 15th, the launch of its new account assistant available directly on WhatsApp. The company had previously communicated this news to Tecnoblog.
Through Meta's messaging application, users will be able to perform various operations, such as making payments via Pix and transfers, in addition to checking bank statements and credit card bills.
Initially, the service will only allow for account data verification and the execution of simple transfers using the XP Digital Account; the Investment Account is not included in this functionality.
According to XP, the main objective of this implementation is to simplify financial management within customers' daily routines.
To start using the Account Assistant, it is essential that the user enables the feature through the XP app itself. After that, simply start a conversation with the number (11) 4395-5970 on WhatsApp, or access this number via the QR Code present on the XP website.
XP has not yet specified whether the new WhatsApp assistant operates based on artificial intelligence. However, it is relevant to note that this number was already used by the company as an official channel for account inquiries and brokerage services.
A change is expected in how interactions occur, aiming for an experience closer to that offered by Meta AI. Nevertheless, XP has not detailed how the technology works. The fundamental distinction lies in immediate access to account information, including transaction confirmation and bill payment.
Mauricio Ribeiro, who holds the position of head of digital products at XP, classified this launch as 'another step in the evolution of the financial experience' of the bank. This initiative is part of a larger strategy by the company to expand its presence on digital platforms, promoting greater integration of financial administration into daily life.
The activation process through the app is uncomplicated and performed entirely within it. The procedure is identical for both Android and iPhone (iOS) devices. With this new feature, the customer can pay slips and utility bills, make Pix payments, set up automatic debits, check balances, and move funds between their digital and investment accounts. XP emphasizes that this represents a preliminary phase, indicating that new functionalities will be added in the future.
