Design Week México 2026 will take place in Mexico City in October 2026

The group illustration exhibition titled 'Together for Iran' will open at the Book Garden in Tehran. The exhibition features over 80 works by 64 artists from various Iranian cities. The event is scheduled for Thursday evening.

The exhibition was organized by the Ketabara Group in collaboration with the Sura-ye Omid Institute and the Book Garden. It is the result of an open competition that invited artists to reflect on recent events and the experience of the Iranian people during the war.

The selected works address themes such as homeland, resilience, resistance, courage, social solidarity, the national flag, military experience, as well as hope and the future. Artists also addressed the mourning processions held in memory of the Imam of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, and the public participation in bidding farewell to the country's heroes and martyrs.

A special section of the exhibition, named 'Angels of Minab,' is dedicated to children and students who died during military operations. This section uses a human-centered approach, striving to go beyond geographical boundaries, and demonstrates the creative responses of artists to the suffering of children and the destructive consequences of armed conflict.

The tragedy in Minab occurred in southern Iran during the Ramadan War when an attack took place at a school in the city of Minab, resulting in the death of several students and teachers. This incident attracted widespread attention and provoked artistic and cultural reactions dedicated to the memory of young victims and reflecting the impact of war on the civilian population, especially children.

In recent months, the memory of the children of Minab has also been reflected in exhibitions and other cultural events both in Iran and abroad. Artists have used visual art as a means of preserving memory and calling for greater attention to the human losses of war.

The organizers of 'Together for Iran' also aim to preserve this collection as part of the country's contemporary visual heritage. In addition to images of suffering and loss, the works emphasize the hope, solidarity, and resilience of the Iranian people in difficult times.

Parallel to the exhibition, a four-day illustration workshop will be held under the guidance of Mahboubeh Hosravi, a professor at Shiraz University and an illustration instructor who has conducted specialized seminars in Iran and other countries. The workshop will provide an opportunity for practical learning, experience exchange, and discussion of illustration.
