Ukraine's military spending has reached $190 million per day
According to a Reuters report, Ukraine's military expenditures this year have approached $190 million daily.
The Parliamentary Budget Committee stated that Ukraine cannot fully finance its defense spending through domestic resources. This was stated by Roxolana Pidlasa at the YES conference in Kyiv.
According to Pidlasa, in the first eight months of this year, Ukraine spent nearly $42 billion on defense, excluding free military aid. Domestic revenues and internal loans amounted to $39 billion.
Pidlasa noted: 'Unfortunately, the war has become so expensive that we cannot even cover our share.'
The daily cost of the war has increased from approximately $140 million in 2024 to about $190 million this year. This increase is due to inflation, an increase in troop numbers, social payments, and medical expenses.
Over eight months, domestic budget revenues were $1.35 billion below planned figures.
Economy Minister Oleksandr Kravchenko named factors pressuring the economy, including Russian strikes and restrictions on export opportunities through Black Sea ports. According to his estimates, damage to infrastructure and fixed assets has reached almost $10 billion, and export revenue of $40 billion is under threat.
The Russian Ministry of Defense reports that strikes are aimed at military industrial facilities, as well as port and transport infrastructure used for transporting military cargo.
The Ukrainian government is considering reducing or postponing non-military expenditures to cover the defense deficit. Kyiv is negotiating with Western partners for financial assistance, but no quick solution has been found so far.
Some state assets will be put up for auction with a starting price of 1 million UZS
New mechanisms for the privatization of state assets are being introduced in Uzbekistan. It is planned that in 2026, state shares in 84 economic societies, 1242 real estate objects, and almost 8 thousand hectares of land will be put up for sale.
Simultaneously, some state assets will be offered at auction with a minimum starting price of 1 million UZS.
Cargo Volume Through European Union Ports and Busiest Ports
According to government data, 3.4 billion tons of cargo were transported through European Union ports by the end of 2024. This volume accounts for approximately 26% of global maritime trade.
In the port ranking, the Port of Rotterdam in the Netherlands took the absolute first place by receiving 397.3 million tons of cargo. The second place was taken by the Port of Antwerp-Bruges in Belgium with 243.7 million tons of cargo.
