A message on WhatsApp fundamentally changed Gudia's life. For Abhijit, it became the reason to leave his village in Kerala and go to Bengaluru to acquire new professional skills.
Both Gudia and Abhijit initially joined the 'Learning for Life' program with uncertainty about what work and financial independence could look like. Today, Gudia has successfully built a career in the hospitality sector, and Abhijit is working to secure his family's future.
Their stories demonstrate positive results when opportunities, accessibility, and skill acquisition come together. Thanks to the program implemented by SCPwD, over six hundred people with disabilities have completed training and received certificates to work in logistics and hospitality sectors.
