Smart bands, although they do not possess all the advanced features found in smartwatches, can serve as excellent companions for physical exercise. By offering a lower cost than traditional watches, they aid in monitoring performance across various physical activity modalities.
To assist those looking for an economical model, Olhar Digital has selected five smartbands with functionalities focused on sports practices. Below are the details of each one:
Samsung Galaxy Fit3
This smart band model features an aluminum casing and a 1.6-inch screen. Interaction with the device occurs both through screen taps and via a side button. Weighing 18.5 grams, it uses a silicone strap with a quick-release mechanism.
Optical sensors located on the bottom measure heart rate and blood oxygenation. Additionally, the device counts steps, tracks sleep, and has motion sensors capable of detecting falls, allowing for emergency alerts to be sent to the connected phone. Its battery has an estimated autonomy of up to 13 days, recharged via a magnetic cable. With IP68 protection and 5 ATM resistance, it is suitable for shallow water use and displays smartphone notifications via Bluetooth.
Huawei Band 11
The Huawei Band 11 has a plastic body and a 1.62-inch AMOLED screen. The display features a sensor that automatically adjusts brightness according to ambient light. Readers at the base of the device monitor heart rate, oxygen saturation, stress levels, and different sleep stages. The system supports over 100 types of exercises but requires the paired phone's GPS for recording outdoor routes.
This model is water-resistant up to 50 meters (5 ATM). In moderate use, the battery can last up to 14 days, and it supports fast charging, being compatible with both Android devices and iPhones.
Xiaomi Smart Band 10
With an oval shape, the Xiaomi Smart Band 10 has an aluminum frame and a 1.72-inch screen. The panel features a 60 Hz refresh rate and enhanced illumination to ensure good visibility in sunlight. The bands are attached directly to the module. Sensors located on the back record heart rate, blood oxygen level, sleep stages, and step count. For physical activities, the system offers over 150 modes, although it does not have an integrated GPS antenna in the hardware.
The device's battery offers up to 21 days of autonomy in basic use and charges in approximately one hour using a magnetic cable. Its structure includes water sealing rated at 5 ATM.
Tranya ES11
The Tranya ES11 is an entry-level band characterized by its plastic casing and 1.47-inch screen. The panel displays information such as time, step count, calorie estimate, and alerts for received messages on the phone. Sensors on the back measure heart rate and record sleep time. The system offers simple functions to time walks and runs, but does not include GPS tracking support.
The housing has IP68 certification against dust and water splashes. The internal battery is recharged using a magnetic cable connected to pins located on the back of the device.
PEJE Band 1
The PEJE Band 1 features a metal casing and a 1.45-inch screen. The display shows daily movement indicators, approximate distance traveled, current time, and notifications from the smartphone. Components at the base of the module read the pulse and record basic exercises. Data transmission to the application and notification reception depend on the Bluetooth connection with the phone. This model has IP68 protection against water and dust for daily use, and its internal battery is recharged via a magnetic cable attached to the back.
