The Het Steen Antwerp project was conceived based on the complex and turbulent trajectory of its construction. This complex of buildings, which integrated the city walls over centuries, developed a more isolated nature around 1890, a period marked by the correction of the Scheldt River, at which time it came to be called Het Steen of Antwerp.
