Uzbekistan has demonstrated an improvement in its positions in the global internet speed ranking, Speedtest Global Index. In August, the country improved its rankings in both mobile and fixed internet segments, achieving first place among CIS states for wired connection speed.

According to the Ministry of Digital Technologies, the average data transfer speed in mobile internet increased from 62.42 to 65.27 Mbps over the last month. Thanks to this, Uzbekistan advanced in the world ranking from 75th to 72nd place.
Over the past five years, the country has achieved a gain of 65 positions in mobile internet speed. Furthermore, since the beginning of 2026, there has been a significant acceleration of mobile internet, with the average download speed increasing by 27% over eight months, reaching a level from 51.42 to 65.27 Mbps.
Positive dynamics have also been recorded in fixed networks: the corresponding indicator increased from 94.23 to 94.50 Mbps. Compared to the figures recorded in December 2025, Uzbekistan rose in the world ranking from 76th to 73rd place.
