During an event held in Gorakhpur, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for 119 development projects worth approximately ₹40 crore. A grand welfare pavilion was also unveiled on this occasion. It was at this event that the Chief Minister made an important announcement for the youth. He stated that the state government aims to provide government jobs to one lakh youths before the announcement of assembly elections.
The Chief Minister emphasized that youth should receive employment without any discrimination. Additionally, advertisements have been released for the recruitment of TGT-PGT teachers in basic and secondary schools, and the application process has also begun.
CM Yogi clarified that the government will provide government jobs to one lakh youths in Uttar Pradesh within the next six months, i.e., before the announcement of the assembly elections. He said that the government is accelerating recruitment processes to provide employment to the youth.
The Chief Minister criticized previous governments by mentioning the situation in Uttar Pradesh before 2017. He alleged that while advertisements for government jobs were issued at that time, there was widespread collusion and extortion in the recruitment process, preventing eligible youth from getting jobs and negatively affecting their future.
Yogi also said that the time and future of the youth were affected due to disputes in recruitment processes and stay orders imposed by courts. He claimed that during that period, development work was also hampered due to poor law and order, and people hesitated to work. The Chief Minister alleged that the then government lacked a clear vision for development, and an atmosphere of looting and anarchy prevailed there.
Mentioning the development of Gorakhpur and Ramgarh Tal, the Chief Minister said that previously there was filth and crime there, and no one went there due to fear. He argued that this filth and disease were not of Gorakhpur but were the result of the poor thinking of the Samajwadi Party and Congress governments, which turned Gorakhpur into a center of criminal activity.
Commenting on the law and order situation in Uttar Pradesh, the Chief Minister said that the state is now free from situations like curfews and riots, and the rule of law has been established. He mentioned that strict action has been taken against criminals, so no criminal can dare to threaten, kidnap, or demand ransom from traders openly. The government's main objective is to provide a safe environment to every citizen of the state. Furthermore, he assured that security arrangements are being made to ensure that all festivals and celebrations are observed in a peaceful and better environment.
