Hatta Resort in Dubai is preparing for the opening of its ninth season on September 28th, resuming its mountain stays and outdoor events as temperatures drop in the UAE.
Located approximately a 90-minute drive from Dubai, the Hatta resort will offer a combination of accommodation and outdoor activities, including hiking and mountain biking, as well as entertainment at Hatta Wadi Hub.
This season includes the introduction of two restored historic trailers, modernization of existing lodges, and the installation of new plunge pools in two of the seven Premier Lodges. These changes align with Hatta's preparation for cooler months when the mountain area becomes a popular destination for locals wishing to spend more time outdoors.
Among the new accommodation options are two restored buses dating back to 1958 and 1948. The 1958 bus has been converted into a 23.23 square meter living space for two, equipped with a Queen bed, sofa, Wi-Fi, TV, mini-fridge, and air conditioning, along with a private outdoor BBQ area. The 1948 bus, named Route 1948, offers a smaller 15.4 square meter space for two with similar amenities and its own BBQ area.
Existing lodges have also undergone interior and exterior updates, including refreshing furniture, lounge areas, and landscaping. This season, two Premier Lodges will feature private plunge pools.
Furthermore, the Caravan Hatta concept from Our Habitas, overlooking Hatta Dam, will also join the resort this season. It will include a special dining concept, a pool, and shared amenities.
Rowdi Subra, Vice President of Asset Management at Dubai Holding, noted that all these changes aim to enhance comfort while preserving the natural atmosphere of the location. She emphasized: 'Hatta Resorts and its Wadi Hub offer a rare change of pace, combining mountain stays, outdoor adventures, and the opportunity to slow down in nature. The enhancements presented this season make the experience even more comfortable and welcoming, while maintaining the sense of seclusion that guests value.'
According to Subra, as the cooler season approaches, visitors can choose between overnight stays, trail walks, or daytime activities. She added: 'With the return of cooler months, visitors can create their own experience, whether it's an overnight stay, exploring trails, or enjoying a day of adventure in the mountains.'
The resumption of the season also marks the return of the outdoor summer period at Hatta, where hiking trails and mountain biking are available alongside activities at Hatta Wadi Hub. The season will feature outdoor events and endurance competitions, such as Ultra Trail Dubai in November. Additional seasonal activities are expected to be announced throughout the season.
The location also collaborates with Emirati-owned businesses in hospitality, retail, food and beverage, and adventure activities. Guests are urged to respect local wildlife and the environment by following the 'leave no trace' principle. Stays during the 9th season begin on September 28th, and bookings are available on the Visit Hatta website.
