The Chairman of the Tourism Committee of Uzbekistan, Abdulaziz Akkulov, met with the Minister of Tourism of Bahrain, Fatima Al-Sayrafi, in the United Arab Emirates. The parties discussed issues of expanding tourism interaction, increasing mutual tourist flows, and establishing direct contacts between industry representatives.
Participants agreed to create a regular exchange of data concerning marketing research, statistics, and key trends aimed at increasing the number of tourists from each country. Special attention was paid to the issue of opening direct flights between Tashkent and Manama.
Furthermore, the parties agreed to continue organizing mutual information and press tours for representatives of the tourism industry and mass media. The Bahraini side was invited to participate in the International Tourism Fair 'Tourism on the Silk Road' in Tashkent, which will take place in Tashkent from November 25 to 27.
The possibility of participating in events dedicated to proclaiming 2027 as the International Year of Sustainable and Resilient Tourism was also discussed.
