The film 'Hanuman Ansh' has demonstrated significant box office success, exceeding 250 million, despite having been made on a budget of only 20 million. This film, dedicated to the life of Nim Karoli Baba, changed the destinies of many people, including its music composer Direndra Mulkawar.
Previously, Direndra faced rejections in the industry, but after the triumph of 'Hanuman Ansh,' everyone started wanting to work with him. In an interview with Hindustan Times, Direndra noted that it feels like a miracle, and he feels they themselves 'surrendered to Babaji,' and now His grace is showering upon them.
Direndra shared that creating a film with a limited budget was a serious challenge. However, difficulties did not always arise; before filming began, the entire crew would read the 'Hanuman Chalisa' and perform aarti every day. After the prayer, problems resolved themselves or a solution was found.
The crew adhered to sattvic diet and lifestyle during the shoot. Miracles also occurred during the music work. Direndra worked on the first theme for about two months, but when he couldn't get it right, he turned to Babaji. Soon after, the melody came to his mind in just a few minutes. Such moments happened repeatedly while working on the film whenever something was stuck.
After working on the music, Direndra consulted his friends, and everyone considered the music divine. He believes that social media contributed significantly to the film's success.
Despite years of hard work, Direndra spent many years trying to establish himself in the City of Illusions. He hails from Chandrapur, Maharashtra, and grew up surrounded by forests and folk music. His dream was once to see his name as a composer on the big screen.
After arriving in Mumbai, he worked on commercials and jingles, but getting into cinema was difficult. Many of his projects were shut down, and he was often replaced simply because he was new. After almost 20 years of struggle, Direndra decided to return home, leaving Mumbai. It was then that a turning point occurred in his life.
He had been trying to visit Kainti Dham for the last four years but was unable to. Finally, he reached there, and magic happened. Two months later, director Vishal Chaturvedi offered him the project 'Hanuman Ansh.' Direndra does not consider this a coincidence; he believes that Babaji rewarded him for his perseverance. People who previously rejected Direndra are now calling him with offers, and his demand is constantly growing.
