The Mirzo Ulugbek district administration announced that the landscaping of the Salar Channel embankment in the Mirzo Ulugbek district of Tashkent is planned. The landscaping will affect the section passing through the Mirzakalon Ismoili and Asaka mahallas.
Creation of a Modern Recreation Area
A modern recreation area will be formed on this section. The total length of the section slated for improvement will be about 1.5 kilometers. This area starts from the Mirzo Ulugbek district administration building and extends to the Central Recreation Park.
As part of this project, the preservation and improvement of existing green areas and trees are provided for. An inventory of buildings located along the canal will also be conducted, and illegally occupied territories will be brought into compliance with established rules.
For this area, the development of pedestrian and bicycle paths, as well as special routes for people with disabilities, is planned. In addition, benches and gazebos will be installed, and children's playgrounds and sports zones will be created.
It is also planned to use the first-floor premises of residential buildings numbered 1A, 2, 3, 5, and 7 in the Mirzakalon Ismoili mahalla for business development and job creation.
