The Agency for the Development of the Medical and Pharmaceutical Industry of Uzbekistan reported that the country is studying South Korea's experience in developing the biopharmaceutical industry, including the introduction of advanced biotechnologies and the localization of modern production technologies.
On September 15, the Director of the Agency, Abdullo Azizov, met with the management of one of South Korea's leading biopharmaceutical companies. The parties discussed the potential for developing this industry in Uzbekistan, as well as opportunities for technological cooperation.
The meeting covered prospects for implementing joint projects for the production of biopharmaceutical products, adapting modern production technologies, and improving specialists' qualifications.
Particular attention was paid to cooperation in research and development, as well as the implementation of current biotechnological solutions. The company that held the meeting is located in Pangyo Techno Valley in South Korea and possesses modern research and production infrastructure, as well as advanced biotechnological capabilities.
