Two major architectural projects—Silq Plaza and PD Estates—totaling $600 million were presented in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. The concepts for these projects were demonstrated on February 17, 2025, during a meeting with urban planners and investors chaired by Saida Mirziyoyeva, Head of the Administration of the President of Uzbekistan. The event was attended by independent experts, university representatives, and specialized architectural studios. The meeting featured both projects in the design phase and those currently under construction.
Silq Plaza Project
Silq Plaza presented a project for a complex on a 3-hectare plot located near Amir Temur Square, where the state company Uzbekenergo building was previously situated. This project is valued at $400 million and includes the construction of residential buildings, a business center, and a hotel. According to the presented data, the total area of the new constructions will be 1.152 million square meters, encompassing 6,500 residential units with a total living area of 585,000 square meters. The developer also proposes the reconstruction of a fountain located near the Uzbekenergo building.
Discussions on the project involved the head of Silq Plaza and the CEO of Tashkent City Mall, Diyor Kayumov. He noted existing implementation challenges, emphasizing that the developer is already investing in it. In turn, Saida Mirziyoyeva stressed the need for timely assessment of a large object's impact on social infrastructure. She specifically highlighted the question: 'Here is the question: if there is a large building, does anyone calculate how many children and how many kindergartens will be needed? This affects people's mood. We must understand this,' she stated. Kayumov agreed with the necessity of conducting the relevant calculations.
PD Estates Project
PD Estates presented its project on a 3.5-hectare plot, valued at $200 million. The presentation showed that the project will include 5,000 square meters of green spaces, accounting for 20% of the total plot area. 49,014 square meters have been allocated for service needs, and the creation of 1,500 jobs is anticipated. The materials presented during the presentation also indicate positive conclusions regarding this project. These include a seismological assessment rated '9 points', a hydrogeological report, a conclusion from the Ministry of Emergency Situations, and a sanitary-epidemiological conclusion.
