According to data from the National Statistical Committee, 9,102,729 foreign citizens arrived in Uzbekistan for tourism purposes between January and August 2026.
This figure exceeds the same period last year by 1.6 million people, which represents a growth of 21.1 percent.
Among the countries from which the largest number of tourists arrived in Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Russia, and Afghanistan stand out.
Moreover, Russia ranked first among countries without a common border with Uzbekistan in terms of tourist flow.
Almost 318.5 thousand tourists arrived from China over eight months, and this figure approached the result of Afghanistan, which is among the top five leaders.
