Five States and Delhi Sign Kishau Project Agreement to Increase Capital's Water Supply

Five states and the National Capital Territory of Delhi signed an agreement on the long-awaited Kishau project on Tuesday. This project is designed to regulate water availability in the wider Yamuna River basin and increase downstream flow, which will benefit the national capital as well as the states of Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, and Rajasthan.

The water that will be stored in the Kishau reservoir will allow for an increase in the supply of drinking water for Delhi.
