Human capital management platform Darwinbox has received additional investment from Teachers' Venture Growth (TVG), which is an investment and growth platform for late-stage investments of the Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan. The size of this investment was not disclosed.
According to the statement, this is the second investment by TVG in Hyderabad-based Darwinbox, following the first round of investment in 2025.
Founded in 2015, Darwinbox serves over 1,400 companies and 4.5 million employees globally. The company reported that it continues to grow steadily, demonstrating a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 70% over the past five years in its core markets, including the US, the Middle East, India, and Southeast Asia.
Darius Vakil, Managing Director of Teachers' Venture Growth, noted: 'Our continued investments reflect our conviction in Darwinbox's ability to redefine workforce management for large enterprises.' He added that the launch of Cortex, an AI-powered platform, is another example of the flexibility and customer focus that are at the core of the team. 'This is a key milestone for the company, especially in light of its plans for business expansion in North America.'
Darwinbox stated that it continues to develop its suite of HCM products, enabling the automation of workflows, optimization of HR operations, and the provision of a more personalized employee experience. In August, the company introduced Darwinbox Cortex—an AI-powered HCM platform.
Jayant Paleti, Co-founder and CEO of Darwinbox, emphasized: 'Enterprise software is undergoing a fundamental shift towards AI-powered platforms. With Cortex, we have preempted this shift and are leading it in the HCM space by introducing several industry-first innovations, including the first Context Graph model in this category. Our current focus is on closely collaborating with customers to drive real adoption and value, as well as scaling AI usage across the enterprise.'
Darwinbox has support from investors such as KKR, Partners Group, OTPP, Microsoft, Salesforce Ventures, TCV, and Peak XV Partners. The Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan Board (Ontario Teachers') is a global investor with net assets of $303.2 billion as of June 30, 2026.
