DBS Bank India has announced the expansion of its payment acceptance platform, DBS MAX. This platform now incorporates a digital payment management solution developed by Juspay, a global payment infrastructure company. This update enables businesses to access multiple payment aggregators through a single DBS MAX integration.
The new solution helps merchants enhance payment resilience, optimize transaction flows, and gain a comprehensive view of all digital collections. The rapid evolution of the digital payments landscape in India is marked by an increase in UPI transaction volumes by over 12,000 times in the last decade. Consequently, companies are increasingly using more than one payment aggregator to support the growing volume of operations and ensure a reliable digital payment experience for customers.
The integration into DBS MAX, based on the Juspay platform, supports intelligent routing determined by rules and performance set by the merchant itself. A unified dashboard provides consolidated visibility across various payment gateways and methods, including transaction success rates, refunds, and reconciliation, allowing merchants to quickly analyze payment efficiency and identify areas for improvement.
Divyesh Dalal, Managing Director and Country Head for Global Transaction Services, Corporate Banking for Financial Institutions, and SME at DBS Bank India, noted that the acceleration of online commerce has raised consumer expectations regarding a seamless online payment process. He added that corporate clients seek platforms offering a full suite of online payment solutions with optimal payment methods for better decision-making. DBS views its partnership with Juspay as the first step toward creating an intelligent payment platform that improves the experience for both merchants and end-users, leveraging its global reputation, local presence, and technological expertise.
Through this collaboration, DBS MAX offers additional features aimed at solving common merchant challenges, such as gateway-independent card tokenization when merchants switch between supported gateways. Furthermore, the centralized overview of payment gateways allows merchants to more accurately assess payment outcomes and tailor marketing campaigns to boost customer engagement.
Shital Lalwani, Co-founder and COO of Juspay, emphasized that the partnership with DBS Bank India combines DBS's established payment franchise with Juspay's leading payment orchestration capabilities. She stated that the joint effort aims to create a more intelligent and interconnected payment ecosystem for businesses, simplifying the complexity of digital payments and giving companies greater control and transparency over their payment operations.
DBS has received international recognition for its capabilities in banking transactions and digital expertise, winning awards such as Asia's Best Digital Bank and Asia's Best Bank for Customer Experience at the Euromoney Awards for Excellence 2026, as well as Best Bank for Payments Asia-Pacific and Best Bank for Transaction Banking Asia-Pacific at the Global Finance Treasury & Cash Management Awards 2026. In 2026, Global Finance also named DBS the best corporate digital bank in India, underscoring its continuous customer focus.
