Archaeologists conducted excavations in western Azerbaijan and discovered an unusual burial dating back to the Bronze Age. A kurgan burial of a person who lived approximately 3600 years ago was unearthed.
In the grave of this individual, presumably a man, two items were found that sparked particular interest among researchers. Among them is an artifact made of diorite, which scientists believe was a mace head, as well as a bronze dagger.
This find was reported on the Arkeonews website.
