Springboks captain Siya Kolisi was surrounded by famous figures from Hollywood and the entertainment industry during the premiere of Jay-Z's documentary in New York. His teammates, meanwhile, were exploring Baltimore, visiting famous landmarks and walking the streets of America.

Siya Kolisi, captain of the Springboks, attended Jay-Z's New York premiere in 8 in the past weekend alongside music producer DJ Khaled and Roc Nation Sports International President Michael Yormark. Through his agency, Roc Nation, Kolisi traveled to New York after the final match to attend the premiere of the documentary series JAŸ-Z IN 8, which will be released on September 18.
On the red carpet, he met major names in the entertainment industry such as artist DJ Khaled and Oscar-winning actor and documentary executive producer Daniel Kaluuya. This atmosphere was very different from the tension of the football field but gave the Springboks captain an opportunity to experience another side of American life and interact with global stars.
Before the match, some Springboks players who were not playing, as well as a couple of coaches, including Mzwandile Stika, experienced a typical American outing by visiting Orioles Park in Camden Yards to watch the Baltimore Orioles game. The group was even given the opportunity to perform ceremonial first pitches before the baseball match began, which was another memorable moment.
In between rugby commitments, the Springboks team also managed to be tourists, visiting the Washington Monument and walking around Baltimore. Wherever they went, whether it was the hotel lobby or the Nando's restaurant, they were greeted by numerous Springboks fans hoping to take a selfie or a photo with the world champions, and the players were happy to oblige.
Despite enjoying the sights, sounds, and experiences of the USA, the world champions ultimately proved that their rugby speaks for itself. They demonstrated brilliant play at M&T Bank Stadium, securing a victory in a memorable series.
