Uzbekistan is gaining popularity among Russian tourists for autumn trips

Uzbekistan is becoming a popular destination for Russian travelers in the autumn. According to tour operators, interest in trips to this country has increased by 65% compared to the same period last year.

Main tourist destinations

Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara, and Khiva remain among the most sought-after cities. According to the Russian Union of Tourism Industry, most Russians prefer to book standard excursion tours and short city trips.

Programs lasting seven or eight days are the most attractive. These tours usually include visits to Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara, and Khiva. In addition to viewing historical monuments and architectural masterpieces, tourists are interested in local culture, traditional crafts, and national cuisine.

The popularity of the destination is also supported by developed air connections, as flights to Uzbekistan operate regularly with both local and Russian airlines.

Tour costs vary: a five-day trip will cost from 76.8 thousand rubles for a couple (excluding travel). A week-long program starts from 100.9 thousand rubles, and a ten-day tour can cost from 153.5 thousand rubles.

Plans to expand security measures for visitors to Uzbekistan have also been announced. Specifically, foreign guests, business representatives, and official delegations will be offered bodyguard escort.
