In a call displayed on stage, Trump dismissed concerns regarding the dangers of the technology, labeling them a 'farce,' and assured that robots would not take over the planet. By phone, Trump declared: 'Robots will not dominate,' while the audience at the event listened to the president's statement.
Additionally, the president stressed that the United States should exercise 'some caution' but should not halt AI progress. This discussion took place amid growing debates about AI safety in Silicon Valley.
In recent days, industry leaders have begun advocating for a coordinated reduction in technological development to give corporations more time to implement safety mechanisms. However, Trump has repeatedly refuted these concerns. According to the president, slowing down development could benefit China.
Jensen Huang agreed that the United States can proceed with advancement without neglecting safety. The Nvidia CEO stated: 'The United States is capable of leading—and doing so safely.'
