Tashkent Region and CCCME Agree to Expand Industrial Cooperation

The Tashkent Region and the China Chamber of Commerce for Machinery and Electronic Products Import and Export (CCCME) have reached an agreement to expand cooperation in the fields of industry, trade, and investment. Discussions took place at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in China as part of a working trip by the regional delegation.

The Governor of the Tashkent Region, Zoir Mirzaev, met with the leadership of CCCME. During this meeting, the significance of this organization in developing international trade and economic ties was emphasized.

CCCME unites over 10,000 enterprises and includes 22 industry divisions. The organization's headquarters are located in Beijing.

Chinese representatives were presented with information on the industrial, investment, and export potential of the Tashkent Region, as well as opportunities and conditions for implementing new production projects with the participation of foreign investors.

Discussion of Cooperation Areas

The parties discussed the development of mechanical engineering and electrical engineering industries, high-tech manufacturing, and industrial partnership. Special attention was paid to increasing import and export volumes, as well as the implementation of investment projects by Chinese companies in the Tashkent Region.

Participants noted that the extensive network of CCCME provides the Region with the opportunity to establish direct contacts with Chinese manufacturers and exporters, attract new partners, and expand the export geography of the Tashkent Region.

Furthermore, the parties considered ways to utilize CCCME's potential for promoting trade and investment, developing international industrial cooperation, providing legal support, and offering professional services.

Following the negotiations, it was decided to further develop practical cooperation between the Tashkent Region and CCCME, jointly develop promising projects, and attract major Chinese companies to the region.

Uzbekistan and Armenia plan to strengthen industrial and transport cooperation

Uzbekistan and Armenia plan to deepen their interaction, aiming to develop new initiatives in the field of industrial partnership, increase trade and economic and investment ties, and strengthen transport connectivity between Central Asia and the South Caucasus.

Discussions on these areas took place on September 11 in the form of a telephone conversation between the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan. During the conversation, the sides detailedly reviewed the current aspects of the development of their bilateral relations.

Significant attention was paid to developing new joint production projects. Furthermore, the critical importance of improving logistics systems and creating transport routes connecting the regions of Central Asia and the South Caucasus was emphasized.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev also expressed high appreciation for the measures being taken to accelerate the signing of a peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan. In the opinion of the President of Uzbekistan, such a document will serve as a reliable basis for ensuring stability and sustainable growth in the region.

In addition, the participants agreed on a plan for future meetings, both bilateral and multilateral, including events within the framework of the UN and CIS.

Uzbekistan and China Expand Cooperation in the Field of Building Materials

A meeting was held in Tashkent on September 9th to discuss prospects for interaction between Uzbek and Chinese companies in the field of building materials production. The event took place with the participation of the Association of Uzsanoatqurilishmateriallari and representatives of leading Chinese firms.
