The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has sent a notification to the airline Air India regarding violations that allowed three foreign nationals to fly from Delhi to Munich without undergoing mandatory immigration checks. These incidents occurred on September 4th.
The notification, titled 'Violation of SOP for Hub and Spoke Operations Resulting in the Departure of Three Foreign Nationals from India Without Mandatory Immigration Clearance,' was sent to AI last Saturday. According to the document, the three individuals landed in Delhi from Amritsar on flight AI 1115 at 00:50 on September 4th, and then departed for Munich via a codeshare flight with Lufthansa at 01:45.
The notification notes that this constitutes a 'serious breach related to safety and immigration' because the three Italian citizens departed without obtaining the necessary exit clearance from the country.
