Tashkent Region Discussed Cooperation Projects with Chinese Association for Circular Economy in China

The Tashkent Region Administration reported that representatives of the Tashkent Region held discussions on prospects for interaction with the Chinese Association for Circular Economy (CACE) in the areas of improving resource efficiency, waste recycling, and implementing modern technologies.

The meeting took place as part of a working trip of the regional delegation to China. The governor of the Tashkent Region, Zoir Mirzaev, and representatives of CACE participated in the negotiations.

The parties considered the possibility of applying the principles of the circular economy in the industrial and agricultural sectors of the Tashkent Region. Efficient resource use, development of waste recycling systems, and attracting advanced technologies were also discussed.

The Chinese Association for Circular Economy is a national non-profit organization that promotes the concept of the circular economy in China. Founded in 1995, it works in areas such as modernization of industrial parks, waste recycling, and creating 'zero-waste cities.'

During the dialogue, participants discussed opportunities for implementing joint projects, introducing advanced technologies and attracting investments, as well as applying China's experience in the Tashkent Region.

After the meeting concluded, both sides expressed interest in further practical cooperation aimed at environmentally sustainable production and rational resource use.

The administration of the Tashkent region reported that a delegation from the Tashkent region held discussions on prospects in the fields of investment, trade, economic, logistical, and industrial cooperation with the Chinese group SOHO Holdings Group.

The meeting took place at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in China as part of the regional delegation's working trip. The parties reviewed the investment potential of the Tashkent region, its current industrial infrastructure, and potential joint projects.

SOHO Holdings Group is one of the largest fully state-owned corporations in Yancheng City, Jiangsu Province. The company was established in 2023 through the merger of four major state-owned enterprises in this city.

The corporation operates in various sectors, including raw material and mineral resource trading, energy, international trade, textile production, logistics, innovative manufacturing, and financial services. SOHO Holdings Group maintains foreign economic ties with over 160 countries. Its structure includes about 400 subsidiaries that employ more than 25,000 people.

During the negotiations, the parties discussed in detail opportunities to expand trade and economic ties, implement new investment projects, and develop logistical and industrial interaction. Following the meeting, prospects for further practical cooperation between the Tashkent region and Jiangsu Province were outlined, including the implementation of significant projects and the strengthening of mutually beneficial economic relations.
