Tashkent Metropolitan University (TMU) has announced the receipt of accreditation from the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) for two of its bachelor's programs: Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance and Bachelor of Arts in International Business.
This accreditation allows eligible graduates to receive exemptions from certain ACCA examinations upon obtaining professional qualification. ACCA is an international professional organization specializing in accounting, finance, and business, and this accreditation confirms the knowledge and skills covered by TMU's assessed programs.
The ACCA approval takes effect on January 1, 2029, and remains valid until December 31, 2033. The accreditation may be extended thereafter following a review and compliance with re-accreditation requirements by ACCA.
Students admitted in the 2027–2028 academic year and graduating on or after January 1, 2029, may apply for the available exemptions according to current ACCA rules. The accreditation does not apply retroactively to current students or already graduated cohorts.
For the Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance program, ACCA assessed areas such as Business and Technology, Management Accounting, Financial Accounting, Corporate and Business Law, Performance Management, Financial Reporting, and Audit and Assurance.
The corresponding areas are covered by TMU modules, including Management Accounting (MAC402), Financial Accounting II and IFRS Fundamentals (FAR501), Business Law (England) (LAW403), Performance Management with Data Analytics (PDA605), Management Accounting II and Performance Fundamentals (MAP502), Financial Reporting (FRP602), Fundamentals of Audit and Internal Control (AUD505), and Audit, Risk and Control (ARC603).
The Bachelor of Arts in International Business program also underwent a full assessment by ACCA. This assessment covered Business and Technology, Management Accounting, Financial Accounting, Corporate and Business Law, Performance Management, Financial Reporting, and Audit and Assurance.
For this program, the relevant modules include Management Accounting (MAC402), Financial Accounting (ACF401), Business Law (England) (LAW403), Performance Management with Data Analytics (PDA605), Management Accounting II and Performance Fundamentals (MAP502), Financial Reporting (FRP602), Financial Accounting II and IFRS Fundamentals (FAR501), Fundamentals of Audit and Internal Control (AUD505), and Audit, Risk and Control (ARC603).
The accreditation enables eligible graduates to credit previously acquired knowledge and skills towards their ACCA qualification. Upon completion of the accredited program, graduates can receive exemptions applicable to their program and graduation year.
It is important to note that exemption from individual exams does not mean completion of the ACCA qualification; candidates must fulfill the remaining organizational requirements. Students registering with ACCA are advised to check their individual list of available exemptions using the official ACCA exemption calculator.

The accreditation applies to the programs in the form assessed by ACCA. Any changes to the modules or program content during the accreditation period may affect available exemptions. TMU will collaborate with ACCA regarding relevant changes to ensure continuous compliance with accreditation requirements.
