The schedule for the Iranian men's national volleyball team at the 2026 Asian Games, which will be held in Nagoya, Japan, has been announced. The team, led by Roberto Piazza, will begin its campaign with a match against Kyrgyzstan.
The men's volleyball tournament at the 2026 Asian Games is scheduled from September 26 to October 2, and 16 teams will participate in the fight for the gold medal.
Iran has been placed in Group B alongside Indonesia, Thailand, and Kyrgyzstan. Their participation in the tournament will begin on September 27 when they play against Kyrgyzstan.
After this, Piazza's team will face Thailand, and then conclude the preliminary round with a match against Indonesia in the following days.
Group Distribution
Group A consists of Japan, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan. Group B includes Iran, Indonesia, Thailand, and Kyrgyzstan. Group C is formed by Qatar, India, Vietnam, and Hong Kong. Group D unites South Korea, China, Taipei, and the Philippines.
The top two teams from each group will advance to the playoff stage, where they will compete for positions from first to eighth. The remaining eight teams will participate in the classification phase, fighting for positions from ninth to sixteenth.
