Since the start of construction, specialists have organized work taking into account the technical features of the site. Quality control, safety, and adherence to deadlines measures were strengthened at the construction site, which allowed for the completion of the tunnel excavation on schedule.
China–Kyrgyzstan–Uzbekistan Railway Company LLC reported that temporary access roads and temporary power supply systems have already been completed and put into operation along the entire route in Kyrgyzstan. This has created the necessary conditions for the start of major construction work.
Currently, construction has begun on 27 tunnels, one of which is already ready. Work is also underway on 43 bridges and 88 sections of railway embankment earthworks. Additionally, the construction of 20 railway stations has started.
The China–Kyrgyzstan–Uzbekistan railway is being implemented as part of cooperation between China, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan in accordance with the 'Belt and Road' initiative. The route starts in Kashgar city, located in the Xinjiang Autonomous Region of China, crosses the Torghurt Pass, and passes through Kyrgyzstan to Jalal-Abad.
